Here is a great opportunity for giving and maybe, too, you'll receive a little inspiration in return: Camp Sunrise is a non-profit camp for kids living with the effects of HIV and AIDS, whether they themselves or a family member has this disease.

A group of amazing Central Ohioans has created this unique program -- the only one like it in Ohio -- which provides kids with a safe, therapeutic community where they have the opportunity each summer to experience relief from the overwhelming emotions associated with the disease.

They can master new skills and develop new friendships through play, conversation, art, drama, games, and traditional camp activities like swimming, canoeing and hiking.

Funding is provided solely through grants and private and corporate donations and one of their biggest fundraisers is coming up on Aug. 28.

Moonlight and Martinis takes place Saturday, Aug. 28, at 8 p.m. in the Harrison Park Clubhouse (575 W. First Ave. in Columbus). Tickets for an evening of great food, drink, conversation, and a silent auction are available for $75 and $150. For more information, go to
