You do know we’re in the midst of Local Foods Week here in Central Ohio, right? We hope you got the memo and that you’ve been maxing out on Oakvale Farmstead cheese, Hirsch Fruit Farm honeycrisp apples, Gerber chicken, and those tomatoes and zucchini that your !@#%! neighbors won’t stop leaving on your doorstep….

Well, if you’re ready to take a break from cooking it all yourself, we’ve got a great Local Foods event for you tomorrow evening. It’s the Local Foods Fall Family Fun Dinner. The event is a benefit for the Local Matters non-profit organization, which is spear-heading Local Foods Week. And the dinner is being held at The Hills Market, 7860 Olentangy River Rd. in the Worthington Hills ‘hood.

From 6-7:30 p.m., they’ll be serving all Ohio house-made chicken tenders, Ohio sweet potatoes and Ohio apple sauce served with Snowville Creamery milk and Ohio Apple Sundae with Jeni’s ice cream for dessert. Ohio wine and beer cash bar available. All for the absurdly low price of $10 for adults and $5 for kids, ages 10 and under.

For reservations, call the Hills Market at 614-846-3220.
