Santa Claus is coming to town tomorrow and you're going to love his choice of transportation -- a Medflight helicopter onto the west lawn of the Ohio Statehouse.

Claus and the Missus will be landing there as part of the 2010 Ohio Statehouse Holiday Festival and Open House. Estimated time of arrival is 5:42 p.m.

The whole Festival takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and, as always, it's free and open to the public. The family-friendly festival also will include holiday music sung by a variety of choirs, a Santa and Mrs. Claus photo station, activities, displays, special performances and refreshments. Visitors are asked to bring a nonperishable food item to be donated to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank (and these donations will continue to be collected on Dec. 2 and 3).

Just remember -- on-street parking is not allowed on many of the streets surrounding the Statehouse between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., so you might want to use the parking garage under the Statehouse or the old Columbus City Center garage a couple blocks south between Third and High streets (it's also the cheapest one in the area).
