The Central Ohio Home & Garden Show starts this Saturday, Feb. 26, and runs through Sunday, March at the Ohio Expo Center. And Columbus Parent has three family four-packs of admission tickets to give away on our Facebook page today!

Kids, ages 12 and under, are admitted free, so use those tickets for anyone 13 and older! We don’t know if you’ve ever been to a home and garden show before, but they actually are a great place to take kids. There’s just something about seeing free greenery again that makes everyone happy. The theme this year for the 13 full-size, living landscapes on display is “Gardens That Rock,” so you’ll see rock ‘n roll elements creatively incorporated into the gardens.

And this year they’ve also got a quirky village of “Crooked Houses” for you to check out. These are beautiful, whimsical kids’ playhouses, and one of the 10 on display this year will be raffled off to raise money for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Plus there’s going to be an amateur cake decorating content and a ton of great speakers including Carter Oosterhouse from HGTV’s “Carter Can,” Kimberly Lacy from HGTV’s “Curb Appeal: The Block,” Sandra Rinomato from HGTV’s “Property Virgins,” antiques appraiser Dr. Lori, and local garden author Tracy DiSabato-Aust.

This year the show’s hours are: 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturdays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sundays, closed Monday, and 12 noon-8 p.m. Tuesday-Friday. If you aren’t one of the lucky winners on Columbus Parent Magazine’s Facebook page, tickets are $12 at the door for adults, and $2 off discount coupons for parking (ordinarily $5) are available at www.dispatchevents.com.
