The Greek Festival is one of Columbus's best traditions and it's happening this weekend - all weekend, in fact, from Aug. 31 through Sept. 3.
Never been before? Well, it's just packed with food (baklava! keftedes! spanakopita!), music, dance, costumes, tours of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral and much more. It's like a trip to Greece but without the jet lag.
Admission is $5 per adult, seniors are $4 and kids under 12 get in for free. The Cathedral is just north of North Market on High Street and just south of Short North (can't miss it).Things get going on Friday at 11 a.m. (til midnight), same on Saturday, 12 noon to 12 midnight on Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday.
