This annual festival sure is a good excuse to have one of Schmidt’s famous cream puffs! Each year, Columbus celebrates German culture at Oktoberfest. Activities include arts and crafts, live bands, and even a National Cornhole Association contest. There will also be a free kids’ area, and plenty of German food from restaurants around the city.
The 2012 fest will be held Sept. 28-30 at the Ohio Expo Center, and admission is free for all (plan on paying $8 for parking, though). Visit the website to learn about the festival times for each day: columbusoktoberfest.com.
