Young Scientist Challenge

Posted by Heather Weekley on March 1, 2013

Is your youngster a budding scientist? Encourage them to enter a contest sponsored by 3M and Discovery Education. The Young Scientist Challenge 2013 is accepting submissions through April 23.

The contest is open to kids in fifth through eighth grade, and the goal is to create a solution to an everyday problem. Students create a one to two minute video related to their solution, and the grand prize winner will receive $25,000. The top ten finalists will also have the opportunity to present their ideas in October at the 3M headquarters in Minnesota.
