Attend an Empty Bowls event around the city
The Columbus Parks & Recreation Department is again organizing a number of Empty Bowls events around the city. For more than a decade, volunteers and students in Columbus art classes have made the bowls that are used during the annual event.
Throughout the fall, the public is invited to various locations to enjoy a meal of soup, bread and water. Diners pay $10 and are able to take one of the handmade bowls home. Money raised at the events supports the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. To date, the parks department has raised more than $165,000.
A list of locations is available here.
