At the Columbus Commons
The Harvest Fair at the Columbus Commons returns this Saturday, Oct. 3 from 2 to 6 p.m.
Kids of all ages will enjoy exploring and participating in rustic farm activities and more modern family-focused fun in the heart of the city.
New this year are costumed characters from Columbus Children's Theatre, including Prince Charming, Rapunzel, Snoopy and Charlie Brown. They will be roaming the Commons, ready and waiting to take the perfect picture with visitors. Other activities include: hay rides*;
pumpkin painting – presented by OSU Urban Arts Space (Pumpkins can be purchased from the pumpkin patch for $2 each); pumpkin-carving demonstrations; a petting zoo; face painting*; inflatables*; and laser tag*.
Items with an asterisk above require a $5 wristband, which can be purchased at the Info Tent by the carousel (cash only). Wristband sales stop at 5:30pm.
Columbus Commons eateries Tortilla Street Food and Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams will be open all afternoon, serving up some of Columbus' favorite treats. Local food trucks Paddy Wagon and Mixing Bowl will be onsite as well, in addition to Hemmingway's Coffee Nook.
Convenient parking is available at the Columbus Commons Main Garage, located just south of the park at 55 East Rich Street.
