Maple syrup events on tap
March is the perfect month to explore the origins of the maple syrup that sweetens your weekend pancakes.
Central Ohio offers several opportunities to learn about the maple sugaring - the process of collecting sap from maple trees and boiling it into syrup. The events usually involve a walk in the woods to find trees to tap, a discussion of the process and a chance to sample the syrup.Maple Sugar Pancake Breakfast, Stratford Ecological Center
The day begins with a pancake breakfast served with local syrup and a trek to the sugar shack.
