Help Ohio celebrate its 213th birthday on March 5 at the Adena Mansion in Chillicothe.
The home of Ohio's sixth governor, Thomas Worthington, aka the "Father of Statehood," will be open for tours and a special program designed to give a sense of how early Ohio residents felt about joining the Union. The grounds and museum will be open between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The "Debate over Statehood" will occur hourly between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Special themed mansion tours will take place every half-hour beginning at 10:30 a.m., with the last tour departing at 3 p.m.
