Effort benefits NCH

Got unused children's books? Germain of Columbus is partnering with Reach Out and Read to put them to good use at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Donations of new picture books and board books are needed for infants and toddlers. For other age groups, organizers ask that books be in good condition and avoid religious or sensitive topics. Books can be dropped off at five dealerships through April 30: Germain Ford (7250 Sawmill Road), Germain Lexus of Dublin (3885 W. Dublin Granville Road); Germain Nissan (4300 Morse Road), Germain Mazda (4330 Morse Road) and Germain Lexus of Easton (4130 Morse Crossing). Nationwide Children's Hospital has one of the largest Reach Out and Read programs among 5,000-plus nationwide. It encourages literacy activities in the home before a child goes to school, with a focus on families living in poverty.
