CAPA lineup announced

CAPA has released the list of films for this year's Summer Movie Series, and it again promises to be top-notch.

Several titles are appropriate for children, including two installments of Cartoon Capers, which will be shown at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, and Saturday, July 23. Both feature classic Warner Brothers and MGM toons.

Older children may appreciate Raiders of the Lost Ark, on tap June 18-19; The Princess Bride on Aug. 5; and The Wizard of Oz, scheduled Aug. 6-7.

This is the 46th year for the Summer Movies Series, which CAPA says is the longest-running classic film series in the country. All movies will be shown at the Ohio Theatre, 39 E. State St.

Same-day tickets are $4 ($3.50 for seniors) and are available at the theater kiosk. Strips of 10 adult tickets are $25. Students ages 13-18 can buy a $5 pass that's good for unlimited series screenings as part of the Go for 5 program, at gofor5.com.
