Help is available for families in which the end of school means the loss of nutritious meals for children.

The Summer Food Service Program offers free meals to children ages 1-18 at various locations throughout central Ohio. In some instances, individuals between age 19 and 21 also may be eligible. The U.S. Department of Agriculture program is administered through the Ohio Department of Education. Meals are provided on a first come, first serve basis.

There are more than 1,600 participating sites across the state. To find a nearby location, go to education.ohio.gov/topics/other-resources/food-and-nutrition/2016-summer-food-service-program.
