Kids' Night Out
A night out for kids (ages 6-11) is a night out for parents too. Participants will spend the night at the Groveport Recreation Center playing games, activities, swimming and more, all under the watchful supervision of the GRC staff. Pizza and drinks provided. If you register by February 5, the cost is $8 for Groveport residents and $10 for non-residents. The event is from 6-9 p.m. For more information, visit groveportrec.com.
Tall Tale Writing Workshop
Kids in grades 4-6 will stretch their imaginations and their stories, learn about Paul Bunyan and create some really tall tales. Registration is required. This is a free event at 2:30 p.m. at Northwest Library, 2280 Hard Rd. For more information, call (614) 807-2626.
Worthington PTA Council: Fundraising Information Showcase
Non-profit organizations are invited to attend a fundraising information showcase presented by the Worthington PTA Council on Saturday February 7 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Worthington Kilbourne High School. There will be many choices of goods and services offered as fundraising opportunities to non-profit groups. Admission is free. Contact Shelley at (614) 793-8598 for more information.
Paws for Reading at the Powell Branch Library
Children of all ages can sign up at the Powell Branch Library, 460 S. Liberty Rd. to read to Lucy, a goldendoodle dog, from 2-4 p.m. Lucy will listen to children as they read from their favorite books, which can be brought from home or obtained from the library. Story Time on the Farm
Stories are a wonderful way to teach and what better backdrop than a farm! Gather with your young ones to hear a story and participate in a craft or activity. Story time is from 10-11a.m. and is $5 per family. Walk-ins are welcome. For more information, visit www.stratfordecologicalcenter.org.
