There's nothing like a day in the trenches.

Looking for a "stimulus" plan in your own wardrobe? Looking for the "it" item that will pull your wardrobe together? Have no fear. We will take you out of the "trenches." With that being said, let's focus on our number one FAVORITE spring item this year: the trench.

We know, it's always a classic, but this season we feel like it's been bumped to first class. This is a staple item that may already live in your wardrobe. We love the new ease and versatility of this trench. So many different fabrications to choose, this jacket can be worn for day (to the carpool line-up) into the evening (yes, you get to shower and attend a grown-up event)!

We walked into one of our favorite clients' closet and found she already had this fabulous jacket. Watch as we take it from day into evening.

DAY

This trench looked "day chic" with a classic white T-shirt and the new "boyfriend" style jean. We paired it back with a day loafer. Try it back with a Grecian style heel for night.

Looking for denim to go with your favorite trench? Brett at Dr. Mojoe (www.drmojoe.com) said many moms are loving the AG jean, named "The Club" because of the mid-high rise waist. The style is available casual and dressier washes. He also said Citizens of Humanity has a jean called "Amber" that is a mid-rise bootcut denim. The pocket placement is still the same as the low-rise, but more practical for moms on the go!

EVENING

Beau monde! This trench by Ron Leal is so incredibly first class, we took it to an evening of celebration! There are more options for spring than the ever-trusty black wrap.

We did find some fabulous women and boutique owners who are also looking to the trench for great style. This trench from French Connection is one that we adored in a cotton fabrication and can be found at Rowe, (www.roweboutique.com) located in the Short North.

Maria, a fashion-representative of Nordstrom focuses on color. "I am loving color. Brightening the wardrobe. Easy items to throw on. There are so many mix-and-match items this season. Also, we are really focusing on the trench!"

We also found Carolyn, a stylish woman who looked oh-so-fabulous. She commented that her fashion inspiration this spring was the newly-purchased Armani linen jacket she found at Nordstrom.

So Columbus, let's get "stimulated" this spring with the trench. For more spring fashion ideas, visit our website www.wardrobetherapyllc.com.
