GO GO C-Bus! GO GO C-Bus!

Congratulations Columbus for being named one the top 25 big cities for the arts! Columbus shares this honor with other big cities such as New York, Chicago and Portland (Oregon). Who says we can't hold our own among the heavy hitters?

Columbus has proven again that she's a city to be reckoned with and recognized. This city embodies cultural diversity, leadership, innovation, talent and vision. Thank you to the readers of AmericanStyle magazine for recognizing Columbus arts for the fourth year in a row! For those of you who would like to indulge in the Columbus art scene here are some fun things to do:

Galley Hop: Gallery Hop happens the first weekend of every month in the Short North. It's a fun way to check out local artists, cool shops, cozy restaurants and bars and a great way to support the local community.

Art festivals : What better way to see what Columbus and other local artists are made of than by attending an arts festival? I love these events and have to attend at least one a year. Plus there are super kid friendly and offer other forms of entertainment such as live music and activities for children.

The Columbus Museum of Art : We have a fantastic art museum located in downtown Columbus that houses many wonderful pieces of artwork just waiting to be seen. The cost is affordable; anywhere from free to $10, accessible anytime of the year, and has many different types of educational programs for children and adults. What more can I say? Oh yes, visit the website at www.columbusmuseum.org.
