This family-friendly resort has lots to do -- even for the hard to please.
Through a $125 million dollar expansion, the Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa now includes an Italian Village.
The resort already was a premiere family vacation destination in the Caribbean, but this expansion allows travelers an even greater enhancement of the vacation experience.
"Travel is part of the American family experience, a chance to reconnect to what matters and we're confident that families will love our brand new Italian Village at Beaches Turks & Caicos," said Adam Stewart, CEO of Beaches Resorts. "While some resorts consider themselves family-friendly simply because they accept family bookings, our new Italian Village, along with all of our Beaches Resorts, was designed and created expressly to meet the needs of families."
The Italian village features 162 luxury family suites. Considered the cornerstone of the expansion, these suites are available in 14 room categories. Parents will enjoy a master bedroom and elegant master bath, while the kids room is a hangout all their own. Young ones in your family will enjoy bunk beds and their own plasma TV. If you decide to reserve an Imperial room (there are 18 of them), your two-bedroom suite will include a separate living room and dining area. And, always a plus to busy moms, Imperial suites will include exclusive butler services. Regardless of what room you choose, there's certainly much more at the resort for you to enjoy.
The powers that be have made sure that you have plenty of dining options for your stay. The new Italian Village alone has five gourmet restaurants (there's more throughout the entire resort). Choose from Italian, an authentic British pub, go barefoot when visiting Barefoot by the Sea (wiggle your toes in powder-soft sand while eating), and more. The young and young at heart will enjoy breakfast with their favorite Sesame Street characters.
Check out the 7,000-sq.-ft. retail area to satisfy your love of shopping. Visitors will find a luxury boutique shop, dive shop, candy store and more. While you're taking in the shopping, you don't have to worry about what your teen or tween is up to. There's plenty of new hangouts to impress even the most hard to please in your group. For gamers, the Xbox 360 Game Garage will be just the thing. Trench Town, offers laser hockey, foosball and more. And the resort's 21 and under aqua-themed nightclub will keep them dancing to their favorite music.
It's hard to compete with the natural beauty of Grace Bay, but Pirate's Island Waterpark will certainly draw your attention. This 45,000-sq.-ft. water playground features slides, a lazy river and more to keep visitors happy. The park also includes the SurfStream simulator, one of only four in the world.
Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa is located on beautiful Grace Bay Beach. When I first saw Grace Bay a few years ago, it immediately captured my heart and I must admit, remains my favorite beach to this day.
The resort is located just 15 minutes from the airport in Providenciales.
Beaches Resorts is part of the Sandals' family, the Caribbean's largest operator of luxury included resorts, and has been voted the World's Best Family All-Inclusive Resort for 10 years in a row. For more information about Beaches Resorts, call 1-800-BEACHES or visit www.beaches.com.
