BE WISE CAMP: BE WISE CAMP

Description: BeWISE Camp is designed to develop interest and self-confidence in math and science for girls entering grades 7 and 8 next fall. Camp is designed to provide hands-on experiences in STEM with problem solving and thinking skills as the primary focus.

Cost: $500

OH-TECH: SUMMER INSTITUTE 2016

Ages Served: Current Freshmen-Current Juniors

Dates/Times: 6/12-6/24

Description: SI is a two-week residential program that gives Ohio high school students entering their sophomore, junior or senior year project-based, hands-on learning. Working in small peer teams, the students use supercomputers for practical applications.

Cost: There are no tuition fees or charges for materials. Students will be responsible for housing/meal (breakfast and dinner) costs which are approximately $500 for the two weeks. Lunch and snacks are provided by OSC during the day.

OH-TECH: YOUNG WOMEN'S SUMMER INSTITUTE

Ages Served: 6th grade-7th grade

Dates/Times: 7/10-7/16

Description: Young Women's Summer Institute (YWSI) is a week-long program sponsored by Ohio Supercomputer Center for middle-school girls in Ohio. It is designed to promote computer, math, science and engineering skills as well as provide hands-on experiences.

Cost: There are no tuition fees or charges for materials. Students will be responsible for housing/meal costs which are approximately $250 for the week. Limited scholarships may be available.
