THE BACKSTORY: Freelance writer Justin McIntosh and photographer Lorrie Cecil tagged along on an outing organized by Hike It Baby, a family-centric group that aims to get parents and children moving together outdoors. The organization, which started in Portland, Oregon, has a Columbus branch that recently celebrated its first anniversary. Outdoor pursuits are important to the local organizers, dubbed branch ambassadors, and branch founder Shannon Stinchcomb. "One of Liam's first words was 'hike,' " she told Justin. The local entity, which has been growing mainly by word of mouth, has a Facebook group with almost 1,100 members
