Bareclay Studio is a hands-on pottery teaching facility. We serve adults and children in the Columbus area. Students can focus on learning the Potter’s Wheel, clay handbuilding techniques, glazing and sculpting. Some activities for kids can include clay, mixed media and collaborative art projects.

Bareclay is also experienced in Scouting Merit Badge workshops, birthday parties and adaptive programming for people with disabilities.

Discovery Camp is an intensive, thematic, play-based program for children ages 3-5.  Each Discovery Camp session offers fun outdoor and indoor activities, field trips and new friends.   Themes this year include: “Under the Sea”, “Digging Up Dinosaurs”, “Explorer’s Café”, “Saddle Up”, and “Lights! Shepherd’s Corner is an ecology center of the Dominican Sisters of Peace.  It rests in a 160-acre natural oasis in Blacklick, Ohio.  Located on the grounds are naturally grown gardens, free-range turkeys and chickens, sheep, a llama, a labyrinth, greenhouses, beehives, walking trails, and woods.  Camp participants will have the opportunity to meet the animals, explore the grounds, and discover how various organisms and creatures contribute to our life on earth.  Lessons include animal tracking, clay and glazing, wetlands, stream exploration, gardening, and more.  This is Earth Adventure’s 4th summer.  Each camp is limited to 20 students.

Summer Experience gives your child the opportunity to experience the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and get an in-depth opportunity to learn about our natural world.  Kids will explore what animals eat and get the scoop on poop here at the Zoo in the ooey, gooey Grossology Camp!  Race like a cheetah and yell like a gibbon in our Animals Got Talent Camp, which visits the rides at Jungle Jack’s Landing. And don’t miss our new 3-day Dino Camp where we will investigate how dinosaurs lived and includes admission to the seasonal Dinosaur exhibit coming to the Zoo this summer.

Since 1990, Columbus Gymnastics Academy has been offering Summer Day Camps.  Tumble Katz Camp for ages 3-6.  You can choose morning or afternoon camps.  Activities include gymnastics, obstacle courses, games and foam pit activities.  For children ages 6 -12, you can come to the Gymnastics and Activity Camp.  You can choose morning, afternoon or all day options.  Activities include gymnastics and games in the morning.  Afternoon activities include putt-putt, bowling, swimming, craft day and a trip to the park.  Early drop-off and late pick-up is available.
June 17th through August 5th EXCEPT for the week of July 1st.

Vertical Adventures, Central Ohio's first indoor rock climbing gym (opened in 1994) now offers day camps. Starting in summer of 2012 and continuing through the school year with winter break, Monday holiday, and spring break camps the program has become a favorite of kids 6 and up. Kids get a great introduction to the sport of rock climbing. Craft projects and games are added in to give tired muscles a rest. Fun climbing related activities like slack lining and milk crating stacking round out the excitement.
