The third annual event takes place Aug. 4 at Easton.

Our upcoming Back to School Expo will feature a fun twist this year: chalk art. We’re seeking your ideas to pass along to chalk artist Edwin Yang, who will set up and draw during the event. (In addition to being an artist, Yang works in the marketing department at Dispatch Media Group.)

So put on your thinking cap and send your suggestion to contact@columbusparent.com. Note that ideas should not be real people or anything protected by a trademark.

The FREE third annual Back to School Expo, sponsored by Columbus Parent and ThisWeek Community News, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, along Fenlon Street at Easton.

Attendees will find a variety of exhibitors, entertainment and the chance to win prizes, including gift cards to Easton merchants. Learn more at back2schooleaston.com.

While you’re there, get some shopping done. The event coincides with Ohio’s sales tax holiday on certain back-to-school clothing and supply purchases made Aug. 3-5.
