Film series showcases Japanese animation

The Gateway Film Center is continuing its celebration of Japanese anime this month with “Ghibli at GFC.”

The series, which runs through Feb. 24, features films by Studio Ghibli, a major Japanese anime producer. The event culminates in the world premiere of Ghibli’s latest film, The Red Turtle.

When possible, matinee films will be presented with the voices dubbed in English. Evening shows will be in Japanese with English subtitles.

The “Ghibli at GFC” schedule for the next week is:
