Youth arts group hires executive director

Columbus Children’s Theatre has hired a veteran nonprofit leader as its executive director.

Susan Pringle recently ran her own consulting company, In the Black, and worked at the Merton Institute and Green Earth Outdoors—both in Louisville, Kentucky.

According to CCT, Pringle previously worked in Dayton as assistant program director and then executive director of The Muse Machine, an arts education organization that serves 70,000 students and teachers each year. She is working on a master’s in human resource development from Villanova University.

Pringle started the job Jan. 17, the organization announced Thursday.

Columbus Children’s Theatre, which started in 1963 as Columbus Junior Theatre of the Arts, stages performances for youth and also offers theater education.
