Mushroom farmer part of Kidpreneur contest
A 9-year-old Central Ohio entrepreneur is in the running for $10,000 from a national contest.
Te’Lario Watkins II is one of 10 finalists in the Barbara’s Bakery Kidpreneur search. T, as his parents call him, got the idea for Tiger Mushroom Farms at age 7 after growing other plants for a Cub Scouts project. We featured his story on our May 2016 cover: columbusparent.com/content/stories/2016/05/eager-entrepreneur-tiger-mushroom.html.
Voting is open through April 14. The winner will receive $10,000 to grow his or her business. Runners-up will get $500 and products from the natural foods company. Find the contest at facebook.com/barbarasbakery/app/403834839671843.
