Film festival showcases international cartoons

Families accustomed to American animation can broaden their horizons with a “Saturday Morning Cartoons from around the World” program this weekend.

The event is part of the Columbus International Film + Video Festival, which takes place April 19-23 at the Columbus College of Art & Design. It is the oldest film festival in the U.S.

This year’s cartoon screening, which includes Moom, Fred and The Pits, is on tap 10-11:15 a.m. April 22 in the Canzani Center Auditorium, 60 Cleveland Ave., Columbus 43215.

Tickets are $6, but admission is free for ages 12 and younger. For more information, go to ccad.edu/saturday-morning-cartoons-around-world.
