Event features themed activities, movie screening

Budding paleontologists might dig another dinosaur-themed event coming to town this weekend.

Columbus DinoFest will be held from noon to 5 p.m. May 13 at the Franklin County Fairgrounds, 4100 Columbia St., Hilliard.

The event, produced by Adam Bonner and the Mascot Organization, includes friendly-looking costumed dinosaurs as well as more realistic creatures. Attendees can meet T-rex, a triceratops, raptors and others, plus jump in bounce houses, see fossils from Ohio State University and participate in themed activities including a costume contest. Children’s band the Shazzbots will perform, and Jurassic Park will be screened at 3 p.m.

Advance tickets start at $10. Children younger than 2 are admitted free. Various packages are available. For more information, go to dinofestcolumbus.com.
