Be an Astronaut and Explore the Cosmos

If your family hasn’t yet blasted off to Cosmic Summer at COSI, there’s still time to explore the special space exhibit.

Cosmic Summer offers three experiences:

Be the Astronaut allows visitors to participate in interactive space missions and see items used by astronauts. In the National Geographic Giant Screen Theater, “Journey to Space 3D” focuses on NASA’s shuttle program and what lies ahead. “Asteroid Mission Extreme” in the planetarium explores the theory that asteroids could be used as stepping stones to explore the solar system.

Be the Astronaut is included with admission. The films require separate tickets. However, July 28 is Family Friday Night, which includes discounted admission and a ticket to “Journey to Space 3D.” Or, through Aug. 3, visitors can save $5 off admission Monday through Thursday with a coupon on COSI’s website.

Cosmic Summer runs through Sept. 4.
