WOOSTER — There will be a public unveiling, just in time for the holidays, of a newly released children’s picture book series by area resident Amy Mae Boreman. "Maggie’s New Home," will be featured at Dee’s Hallmark in Wooster Nov. 25 from noon-3 p.m.
The book can be previewed and picked up at this event and Boreman will autograph and dedicate it for your designated recipient. Dee’s Hallmark is at 4055 Burbank Road, in the Wayne Town Plaza.
"Maggie’s New Home" is a heart-warming story about a young Pomeranian, Pom, Pom, puppy. She finds herself moving away from the city, to a life down on the farm. There she meets her first friend, Tammie, a Shetland Sheepdog. He takes her all around the farm making new friends as they go.
The newly released series will inspire your children to read and learn. What better way to have fun than with a little Pom, Pom, Pomeranian, Ping, Pong puppy? This excellently illustrated book will have you laughing as it is funny, insightful and heartfelt. Maggie’s books will bring excitement into your children’s lives.
The book is also an imaginative invitation to anyone who likes to color. At the end of the book you will find coloring pages. During the holidays young children spend a lot of time just drawing and coloring. These are the times as a mother you will never forget. Just ask Maggie, coloring is fun.!
Boreman has spent her entire career living and working in and around Wayne County. In her free time, Boreman did freelance writing for the Wooster Daily Record newspaper, and wrote feature stories for the Sheltie Pacesetter and The Sheltie International magazines. She has been a member of the Cleveland Shetland Sheepdog Club, Wayne County Kennel Club and trained under Cleveland All Breed, and the Akron Training Center. She started "Love on A Leash," 4-H club in Wooster. Because of her love for dogs and 39 years of raising and showing them that Boreman is now able to bring a series of fun (laugh out loud entertainment) pictures books to inspire children to read and learn. Using her experience as a professional dog breeder and handler she is able to bring Maggie and Tammie into the lives of children. It was after she took home a little Pomeranian puppy that she wanted to share the enjoyment of Maggie with others.
Maggie’s with you each and every day, no matter what you say or do. When you’re down and feeling blue, she’ll be there just loving you.
