Ohio History Center hosts kids' events.

This weekend, families with young children can learn about Ohio history and hear a tale about winter as the Storytime at the Museum series gets underway for 2018.

The program is held the second Sunday of each month at the Ohio History Center, 800 E. 17th Ave., Columbus. Events are scheduled at 11 a.m. Jan. 14, Feb. 11 and March 11. East storytime lasts for a half-hour. 

The program, which is geared to ages 3-6, includes stories and exploration of the Ohio History Center. It is included with museum admission, which is $10 adults, $9 seniors, $5 children ages 6-12 and free for children 5 and younger.

The story schedule is:

Jan. 14 – “The First Day of Winter” by Denise Fleming Feb. 11 – “Sam & Dave Dig a Hole” by Mac Barnett March 11 – “Superhero School” by Aaron Reynolds and “Superhero Instruction Manual” by Kristy Dempsey
