Easton attraction holds contest for ages 6-10

Legoland Discovery Center Columbus is looking for Central Ohio kids to build out its Creative Crew.

Children ages 6-10 are invited to apply for the Creative Crew, whose members will help with events, build projects and serve as LDC Columbus ambassadors for the next year. The group also will help choose the Easton location’s Master Model Builder and assist with the grand opening this fall.

To enter, parents can upload a photo or 30-second video of their child’s best Lego creation and why it represents him or her at woobox.com/btuj5q. The entry period began March 26 and runs through April 9.

When it opens, Legoland Discovery Center Columbus will feature 10 play areas, two interactive rides, Master Model Builder classes, a vehicle test track, 4-D cinema, party room, café and a Miniland Ohio. Miniland, a signature area found in all Legolands, features scaled-down versions of local and/or national icons. Miniland Ohio will feature landmarks from Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland.

Legoland Discovery Center Columbus is a $10 million, two-story, 36,000-square-foot play center geared for ages 3-10. It will take over the space formerly occupied by KDB and GameWorks and will be owned and operated by Merlin Entertainments. The attraction is among 12 open or in development in North America and 22 worldwide.
