Family events offer a new way to see the park.

Metro Parks are a wonderful place to hike and bike, of course, but it’s also fun to explore the parks via tram. Glacier Ridge is offering several opportunities to take a ride this month.

For Kids: Tram and Scavenger Hunt

This program pairs a 30-minute tram ride with a scavenger hunt. The 40-passenger tram will run about every 35 minutes. Free timed tickets will be given out starting at 9:45 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tram and Campfire

This evening tram ride also provides a chance to make s’mores. The 40-passenger tram will depart every 45 minutes. Free timed tickets will be distributed starting at 5:45 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. S’mores supplies, including roasting sticks, will be provided. Participants also can bring their own food to cook.
