The much-anticipated attraction, which will open Sept. 21 at Easton, has announced a series of events just for Lego fans 18 and older—no kids allowed.
Legoland Discovery Center Columbus will hold its first Adult Night from 7-10 p.m. Oct. 4. The monthly events will include access to the entire attraction, including play areas, rides and the 4D theater.
According to marketing manager Jenna Maffei, Adult Nights will take place the first Thursday of each month. Master Model Builder Maxx Davidson will lead special themed activities. October’s theme is Monster Movies. Prizes also will be awarded.
Tickets, $24, are available at columbus.legolanddiscoverycenter.com. The Nov. 1 and Dec. 6 events are on sale as well.
When it opens, Legoland Discovery Center Columbus will offer 10 play areas, two interactive rides, Master Model Builder classes, a vehicle test track, 4D cinema, party room, café and a Miniland Ohio, with Lego re-creations of landmarks from Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland. The Miniland buildings unveiled to date are COSI, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Cincinnati’s Union Terminal.
The $10 million, two-story, 36,000-square-foot play center, which is geared for ages 3-10, is taking over the space formerly occupied by KDB and GameWorks. Legoland Discovery Center Columbus, which will be owned and operated by Merlin Entertainments, is among 12 open or in development in North America and 22 worldwide.
