Mall events include sensory-friendly visits
The Easter Bunny is hopping into the Mall at Tuttle Crossing and Polaris Fashion Place for special events this weekend.
The Mall at Tuttle Crossing will hold a Caring Bunny event for children with sensory issues from 9-11 a.m. March 26. According to information from the mall, accommodations may include turning off music, the fountain and escalators; dimmed lights; and a numbering waiting system rather than a queue. All shoppers can visit with the Easter Bunny from March 24 through April 16 on the lower level northeast Macy’s court.
Meanwhile, Polaris Fashion Place will hold a KidX Club’s Mad Hatter Tea Party from noon to 1:30 p.m. March 26 in Center Court, on the lower level near JCPenney. The free family event will include crafts, games and treats.
A Sensitive Bunny event from 9-11 a.m. April 2 is geared toward children with sensory issues. Visitors get a free photo, and attendees are encouraged to wear blue for World Autism Awareness Day.
Shoppers can have brunch with the Easter Bunny from 8-10 a.m. April 8 at California Pizza Kitchen. The event includes crafts and entertainment. Tickets are $7, free for children younger than 12 months. Reservations and prepayment are required at the mall’s Guest Reception area.
