Winners will be named at the elementary, middle and high school levels.

Voting is now open for the 2017 Columbus Parent/ThisWeek Community News Teachers of the Year.

This annual project recognizes three deserving educators—one each at the elementary, middle and high school levels. From Feb. 1 to March 15, readers submitted 133 online nominations for teachers they believe make a difference. Our editorial staffs reviewed them all and narrowed the list to 15 finalists (five per category). Now, it’s your turn to decide who should win.

Readers may cast one ballot, voting for one teacher in each category. The deadline is May 1.

Winners will be recognized with award ceremonies at their buildings before the school year ends. They also will be featured in the July issue of Columbus Parent and in ThisWeek Community News.
