National Library Week Embrace leadership at your library: Celebrate National Library Week April 8-14 Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library will join libraries nationwide in celebrating the many ways libraries lead their communities through the transformative services, programs and expertise they offer. April 8-14 is National Library Week, an annual celebration of the life-changing works of libraries. Libraries aren’t just places to borrow books or study-they’re also creative and engaging community centers where people can collaborate using new technologies and develop their skills and passions. As a service to the community, the library will offer "Food for Fines" during the week. The library will forgive $1.00 worth of fines for every can or box of non-perishable food brought to the library. Fines up to $20.00 will be waived. All food items will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul. Please, no out dated food. All lost or damaged items are excluded from "Food for Fine". Patrons may also register for prize give-a-ways throughout the week.
