The Deerfield Historical Society will host "An Afternoon with Theodore Roosevelt" at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Deerfield Town Hall, 1450 S.R. 14.

Ted Dura will present a first-person program as Theodore Roosevelt, a war hero, explorer, naturalist, and the 26th president of the United States from 1901 to 1909.

Dura is a retired science teacher heavily involved with numerous historical organizations including Company G, 29th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Historical Association (Civil War) and Fort Laurens (Revolutionary War) in Bolivar.

Following the presentation, attendees may enjoy a Soup ’N’ Salad. The presentation is free and open to the public. There is no charge for the Soup ’N’ Salad, which will also include dessert and beverage; however, donations will be accepted. Reservations are highly recommended.
