More than 130 students graced the stage at Theodore Roosevelt High School’s auditorium in Kent on June 2 for "Dancing on the Ceiling," the 82nd annual recital of Franklin School of Dance.

All styles and ages were represented at the performance, which featured choreography by owner/lead instructor Courtney Watt and instructors Koral Jamieson, Jackie Searfoss and Jensen Croop.

Located at 152 N. Water St. in downtown Kent, Franklin School of Dance offers recreational classes in a range of styles, including ballet, pointe, tap, hip-hop, jazz, lyrical and cheer dance for students from age 3 to adult.

Enrollment is now under way for the studio’s "Summer Sampler" dance program, which includes half-hour sessions of dance instruction in a different style each week through July and August.
