A frame free-standing garage and two autos were destroyed in an early morning fire Saturday, July 28 at Morristown. Morristown volunteer firemen responded to a fire at 304 Church Street at 5 am. Bethesda VFD assisted. The fire was discovered by the occupant of the residence.

Vinyl siding on the west side of the residence was also damaged by heat. Firemen were able to keep the fire from spreading beyond the garage and automobiles.

The property is owned by Harry and Beth McCracken of St. Clairsville according to records on file at the Belmont County Auditor.
