Check out the Hilliard Ice Cream Trail, the A&F Challenge and a Columbus teen's Ag Is Cool win.

Summer is winding down, and you don’t know if you have time for one more camp or one more festival. So don’t decide. Check out the A&F Challenge, a camp-themed fest, on tap Sept. 7 at the Abercrombie & Fitch headquarters in New Albany. The 18th annual event is an evening full of music, zip lines, food, wall climbing and more, all to raise funds for the SeriousFun Children’s Network, a global nonprofit that provides camp experiences for kids with medical conditions. The all-inclusive event offers lots of family fun, plus musical headliners Fitz and the Tantrums, Judah & the Lion, Betty Who and Van William. There’s a 5K event as well, but you don’t have to run to help SeriousFun. Go to anfchallenge.org for tickets.

Your crew loves ice cream, but your excursions for the tasty treat are always so scattershot. Destination Hilliard has you covered. The organization has partnered with six local businesses to create the Hilliard Ice Cream Trail. Stop by one of the participants or the DH office and pick up a passport booklet. Get it stamped at all six shops (full disclosure: some offer treats other than ice cream), then bring your passport to Coffee Connections for a prize. (Like you need a prize … it’s ice cream, people.) Check out destinationhilliard.com for details.

Anna Rose of Columbus took Best in Show in the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s annual Ag Is Cool Creative Expression art contest. Schoolage kids throughout the state were invited to show off their creativity, offering a personal interpretation of why agriculture is cool to them. Rose, 17, took top honors with a colored pencil drawing of a farm scene.
