I am writing this letter in support of Congressman Bob Gibbs. I do not go to very many public events, but I attended the Veterans Appreciation Day at the Ashland County Airport in August.

I met Rep. Gibbs there, and we talked for 10-15 minutes. I found him to be very approachable and accommodating, and he listened attentively to my concerns.

I asked particularly about the problem of human trafficking in our country, what the federal government was doing to combat the issue, and what we, as individuals, can do to help, He took my email address and by the beginning of the following week, I had heard from three of his staff members, including one who sent me a detailed list of legislation that has been passed and is pending in Congress and the Senate, regarding human trafficking. A few days later, a fourth staffer contacted me with a list of programs and organizations, as places to volunteer in District 7, that aid victims of human trafficking

Congressman Gibbs and his staff all followed up with me to make sure my questions were answered, and to see if I had any other concerns.

I have read about his opponent, Mr. Harbaugh, and he appears to be a decent man with an impressive military background. But in my personal opinion, I would prefer to have a "seasoned" representative who has lived in our area for decades and is very familiar with the needs of his constituency.
