So many topics:

I have explained to Mayor Matt Miller my opinion on 911-dispatch. I did not attend any meetings before 911 was sent to Wayne County, but feel that enough time has passed and enough Ashland County money has been sent to WARCOG that I will now state my opinion.

Whatever it takes, bring 911 back to Ashland where it belongs. If updates need done, which are in progress, then great. That will continue as new equipment evolves. Training is never-ending, make sure our dispatchers have the best ongoing training available. We need to cooperate with all involved to provide what’s in the best interest of the citizens of Ashland County and city.

I will give credit where credit is due. I have talked to some who had success calling 911 and were happy. But I have talked to just as many who did not have a good outcome.

Next topic: State Issue 1. I strongly suggest a "no" vote. What interest do billionaires in other states care about our constitution? Or about our prison system? They will be making money along the line somewhere.

They want us to believe that with simple possession and using of drugs, there are no victims. We as a society are all victims. Every time our squad has to go out on an overdose, every time our peace officers are exposed to who-knows-what, their life is endangered.

And there are no victims? Keep the law breakers in handcuffs, not the judges. If an addict, in their heart, wants help and treatment they can get it without a judge ordering it and have a much greater chance of success if they truly want the help.

There are many other topics I could cover, maybe another time.
