Watch movies adapted from books

Looking for an out-of-the-house, summer family activity? The Gateway Film Center and the Columbus Metropolitan Library are teaming up for a film series called From Book to Film.

It's in its second year, and the series features movies adapted from books. The films are shown at the Gateway on Saturdays and Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m., and Mondays at 7 p.m. The 2013 lineup includes favorites like "Matilda," "Jumanji" and "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory." From Book to Film begins May 25 and runs through the end of July.

Here's the best part: If you have a library card, admission is free! Otherwise, regular Gateway ticket rates apply. For a full series schedule, visit gatewayfilmcenter.com.
