Take your little ones to learn about deer

Little ones can learn more about the state mammal during the Nov. 14 Preschool Park Pals program focusing on deer. The legislature named the white-tailed deer the "official animal of the state" in 1988. Weather permitting, a short hike will follow the program.

The event is part of a monthly series presented by the Preservation Parks of Delaware County. The programs are free but registration is required. Register via email to register@preservationparks.com.

The program will be offered at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Deer Haven Preserve, 4183 Liberty Road, Delaware 43015.
