City is hosting events to celebrate Bike to Work Month

The City of Dublin loves its bikes and this month, they're hosting a few different events in honor of National Bike to Work Month.

There will be a bicycle-recycling collection the week of May 12-16. Residents can drop off unwanted bicycles at the Dublin Community Recreation Center, 5600 Post Road, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

There will also be a Bike Rodeo for children ages 3-13 Saturday, May 17 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Bailey Elementary School, 4900 Brandonway Drive. The rodeo is sponsored by Dublin Police and Washington Township Fire. A number of free helmets will be given away.

Dublin was awarded in 2013 as a Bicycle Friendly City by the League of American Bicyclists. The City has more than 100 miles of bike paths.
