Well, time to get your tickets at least!
Popcorn Pops tickets are always a hot commodity in this town, so don't delay on getting yours! This summer, the Columbus Symphony has two of them planned: There's the Gotta Love the Symphony! concert on Friday, June 20, and then the Out of This World! Music from Star Wars, Superman and Beyond! on Friday, July 18.
The 2014 Nationwide Insurance Popcorn Pops concerts blend the fun of the outdoor concert experience with the excitement of a live orchestra performance in this series especially designed for younger children aged 3-12 and their families.
Each concert takes place at the Columbus Bicentennial Pavilion on the Columbus Commons (160 S. High St.). Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Concert begins at 7 p.m. and runs for approximately one hour.
Concert goers are encouraged to bring a blanket and lawn chairs, pack a picnic, and come early for pre-concert activities from 5:30-6:45 p.m. Activities include bounce houses and inflatable slides, instruments to see and play, music crafts, face painting, performances by area string students, and more.
Popcorn Pops tickets are $8 for both children and adults and can be purchased by phone at 614-228-8600, online at www.PicnicWithThePops.com or www.ticketmaster.com, or in person at the CAPA Ticket Center (39 E. State St.), central Ohio Kroger Ticketmaster locations, or central Ohio Graeter's locations. Tickets may also be purchased at the gate on the night of the show. Children 2 and under are free.
