Volunteers to make bus ride more enjoyable for students
Volunteers in Canal Winchester want to make the bus ride to and from school more enjoyable for students.
They are collecting books that will be kept on the buses for students to read at their leisure. Some students in the district have a 30- to 45-minute bus ride each morning and afternoon.
Anyone wishing to donate new or gently used books to Canal Winchester Local Schools' "Books on Buses" campaign can drop them off at the following locations:
• CW Education Center, 100 Washington St., 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Books can be put in the mail box outside the main entrance when the office is closed.)
• CW Community Center, 22 S. Trine St., 9 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
• The home of Books on Buses coordinator, Patti Lynch, 27 E. Columbus St. (anytime – red wagon on porch)
