Annual display kicks off Nov. 17 at 5 p.m.
Wildlights is lighting up the night skies of central Ohio a little earlier this year: The 26th annual Wildlights at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium kicks off this Monday, Nov. 17 with a special lighting ceremony at 5 p.m.
New this year are two animated light shows around Conservation Lake, alternating every 15 minutes. And back by popular demand, a little later in the Wildlights season, is the ice-skating rink near the Entry Village, but with a twist: This skate rink is made of synthetic-silicon, plastic-ice technology that provides an ecological substitute for conventional ice. Skate rental will be $4 for Zoo members and $5 for non-members. Skating is free to guests who bring their own skates.
Zoo members also can enjoy their annual preview this Sunday, Nov. 16 from 5 to 9 p.m.
