Now's the time to think about next month if you want to participate in any of the Perkins Observatory's sky-gazing events.
The 8 p.m. programs on Feb. 6, 13, 20 and 27 require reservations and they do fill up. But they are a great way to get the whole family excited about astronomy and learn more about the universe all around us. Content varies based on sky conditions, but may include a planetarium show, observatory tours, and star gazing with the 32-inch Schottland Telescope.
The Perkins Observatory is located at 3199 Columbus Pike (U.S. Route 23), just south of Delaware. Advance tickets are $8 for adults, and $6 for children and senior citizens. Reserve tickets by calling 740-363-1257. Learn more at http://perkins.owu.edu.
