At Columbus' Metro Parks

It's time to get back outside and explore nature. The Metro Parks system has many free programs coming up aimed specifically at preschoolers, homeschoolers and the whole family.

Today, there's the "Whose Scat Is That?" class for the preschool set, taking place at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park in Galloway. Learn about animals from the clues they leave behind!

On Saturday, you can take a family hike and look for bald eagles at Highbanks Metro Park (11 a.m., meet at the nature center) or amphibians at Sharon Woods Metro Park (2 p.m., meet at Schrock Lake).

Next Thursday, there's a class just for homeschoolers at Blendon Woods Metro Park where kids ages 6-12 can conduct experiments examining wet weather and storms.
